  • Congratulations to Abby Cash as she was selected as the Freshman of the Month for December! She is active in FFA, band, Theatre, FCA, basketball and Harvest Leadership Team. She also kept stats for the football team. Abby has an outstanding attitude/disposition and shows exemplary character. Congratulations, Abby!

 

  • Congratulations to Logan Archdale who was selected as Sophomore of the Month for December! He is a member of the Harvest Leadership Team and stage manager for the theater crew. He is also active in Key Club, band, and FCA. Logan shows notable consideration towards others and is helpful every day.  Congratulations, Logan!

 

  • Congratulations to who Lily Sharum was selected as Junior of the Month for December!  She is active in band and has participated in track and cross country. She is very quiet in class but will go out of her comfort zone to contribute to class discussions. She is a fantastic resource for teachers and her peers. Congratulations, Lily!

 

  • Addie Parr was selected as December Senior of the Month. She has been involved in a number of things during her high school career including: band, choir, scholastic bowl, key club, art club, prom committee, WYSE team, theatre, and is a member of National Honor Society. She volunteers at the annual Red Cross Blood Drive and the Trivoli Chili Supper among other things that take place at the school. Addie also earned a position playing in the Bradley Honor Band for two years. She is ranked 3rd in her class and plans to attend Northern Illinois University to major in Communicative Disorders. Congratulations, Addie!

 

  • Congratulations to December Staff member of the month Ms. Mendez. Originally from Berwyn, Ms. Mendez graduated from Morton West High School and Monmouth College. She now lives in Farmington with her cat Queso. She spends her free time coaching, eating ice cream, and watching Harry Potter. Congratulations, Ms. Mendez!

 

  • Congratulations to the December Theatre Student of the Month Keagan Lahart! Keagan is a senior at FCHS and takes part in the crew. He is a phenomenal set builder, concise and accurate with his detail. He is helpful and is able to lead younger members of the theatre to learn and excel in the program. Congratulations, Keagan!

 

  • Freshman class is selling apple cider donuts from Tanner’s Orchard for $12.00/dozen through Wednesday, December 4th.  If you would like to place an order, please email Mrs. Gibbs at sgibbs@dist265.com.  Donut pickup date will be Friday, December 13th.

 

  • Junior Class is selling Pure Vida bracelets through tomorrow! The bracelets are $5 for a non braided, and $7 for a braided. If you have any questions, please see Kendra Renfroe or Addison Gilstrap.

 

  • For Abby Cash and Kyleigh Carpenter’s Harvest Team Project, they will be donating items to the Prevention of Abuse Center.  There will be a competition to see which activity hour can collect the most items. Whoever collects the most items will receive a reward.  Donation suggestions include paper supplies, toiletries, diapers and wipes.

 

  • FCHS Theater is hosting Farmington’s Got Talent this Friday, December 6th at 7 pm. Please come and be entertained!  Please contact Jaden Van Winkle or Makenna Hintz with any questions.

 

  • Scholastic Bowl members: there will be a meeting during activity hour today to discuss upcoming events & to break the buzzer out.  If you were someone who did not attend the last meeting, please feel free to attend!

 

In addition, we will have a home practice match against Spoon River Wednesday after school. 

 

  • Drama Club will meet in the Research Center today during 4th hour.
