Morning Announcements for 8/21/2017

Bulletin – August 21, 2017

3:30  Girls Golf vs. Limestone H.S. @ Madison Country Club.  Bus departs 2:15.

4:00  Boys Golf vs. Illini Bluffs/Greenview @ Coyote Creek.  Bus departs 2:30.

4:00  Varsity Cross Country will compete in the Farmington Invitational @ HOME.

  • No new schedule change requests will be accepted.  If you signed up last week, Mr. Panner will get to you.  Please be patient.

  • Game club will meeting Wednesday after school this week in Mr. Paul's room.

  • Our athletic trainer, Ruben Gayon, will be in this Thursday around 10:30 to see those athletes that need him.  If you would like to be seen by Ruben, please sign up in the office.  His usual day to visit the school will be on Tuesdays.

  • In the days ahead, those students who have paid their parking fee will receive a yellow parking tag.  Any student that still needs to purchase one, they are $5.00 and can be bought in the office.  Students must have their yellow parking tags displayed in front windshield by Wednesday, September 6th or they will receive parking tickets.  

  • Blackout shirt order forms are available in your student email.  They are due to Mr. Lambert no later than Thursday, August 31st.  Payment is due at time of submission.  Shirts will be delivered September 6th.  Checks payable to FCHS.

  • Election forms for sophomore class officers can be picked up from Ms. Petermeyer or Ms. Clark.  Forms will be due back by 3:15 Friday, August 25th.

  • Any junior interested in running for class officer need to see Miss Burdess.

  • There will be an informational Art Club meeting Thursday, August 24th after school at 3:15 in Ms. Simaytis’ classroom.  All current officers are asked to be present.   

  • The following meetings are taking during Friday’s Enrichment:

    • Key Club in the Research Center

  • Today is the solar eclipse. Please do not look at the sun today without the special viewing glasses you will be receiving. Even quick glances without viewing glasses can do permanent damage to your vision. Often the damage is not immediate but happens the next day. We will be going outside toward the end of 6th hour. PUT THOSE GLASSES ON.

  • We need one student from each Enrichment to come to the office and get enough glasses for their teacher’s 6th hour class at this time.
