Bulletin – September 1, 2017

7:00  Varsity Football vs. Rushville-Industry H.S.  -THERE-  Bus departs 4:00.

Saturday, September 2nd:

Freshman Volleyball will compete in the United Red Storm Freshman VB Tournament

            @ United H.S.   Bus departs 6:30.  (8:30 vs. Ridgewood & 10:50 vs. Canton)

       8:30  Boys & Girls Golf will compete in the Mercer Co. Invitational at Hawthorn Ridge CC.  

             Bus departs 6:30.

       9:00  Varsity Cross Country will compete in the Little Giant Invitational at Big Creek Park in Canton.  

              Bus departs 7:30.

        Monday, September 4th:

        10:00  JV Football vs. Rushville-Industry H.S. @ HOME.  

  • TJ Benedict was selected as September’s Senior of the Month. TJ excels academically as he is in the top 5 % of his class. Along with his studies, TJ is involved in various extracurricular activities which include: Cross Country, Track and Field, Golf, Plays and Musicals, Art Club, WYSE Team, Drama Club, Science Olympiad, Spanish Club, OTSD, P7 Club, Student Senate, Key Club, Math Team, Boy Scouts, Marching, Hoop, Concert, and Jazz Band.   In addition to his extensive involvement in school, TJ finds time to give back as he volunteers within the community. He assisted with the Farmington Disc Golf course, placed flags on Veterans’ graves for Memorial Day, and volunteered at the annual American Red Cross blood drive.  He plans on attending college next year where he will major in Chemical Engineering. Congratulations, TJ! Please see Mrs. Clope by the end of the day.

  • Congratulations to the 2017/2018 Farmington Central High School National Honor Society officers.  They are as follows: President- Jessamy Hintz, Vice President- Katlynn Schaer, Secretary- Erika Torman, and Student Senate Representative- Cody Rickard.

  • Patrice Hess from ICC is here this morning during Enrichment in Lab 649 to talk to all students who are enrolled in a dual-credit online class.  She will be sharing vital information.  Attendance is mandatory.  Please sign up in the office to attend. This is for ICC dual credit online classes, not Carl Sandburg.

  • Students in the CARL SANDBURG DUAL-CREDIT ENGLISH need to attend a brief meeting either Tuesday, September 5th after school 3:15 pm OR Wednesday, September 6th before school in room 716.

  • REMINDER: parking tickets will start being issued when we return next week starting on Wednesday.  Please be sure to have your parking tag visible.  

  • Mark Maroon form the National Guard will be here next Wednesday, September 6th during Enrichment and at lunch.

  • Members of last years winterguard team, please see Mr. Lambert at this time.

  • The following meetings will take place this morning during Enrichment:
