Bulletin – January 9, 2018

4:00  Scholastic Bowl will compete at Peoria Notre Dame H.S.  Bus departs 2:30.

5:00  Varsity Wrestling will compete at Peoria H.S.  Bus departs 2:45.

Boys Basketball vs. Bushnell-Prairie City H.S. @ HOME.  JV plays at 6:00/Varsity 7:30.

          

  • Congratulations to the FHS Cheerleaders for winning the ICCA State Championship on Saturday! They beat 29 other teams in the small varsity division. Way to go girls!!

  • Ethan Kenney was selected as January’s Senior of the Month. Ethan takes great pride in his academics as he is in the top 20 of his class, he is taking an English dual credit course, and has been on the Honor Roll four consecutive years throughout his high school career. Along with his studies, Ethan is involved in numerous extracurricular activities which include: Football, Baseball, Spanish Club, and Harvest Team.  In addition to his involvement in school, Ethan finds time to give back as he volunteered his time to help disabled children at Schramm School. He also participated in caroling at the Senior Center and assisted with basketball for Santa for the children of St. Jude.  He will attend college in the fall where he plans to enter a nursing program and continue his football career. Congratulations, Ethan! Please see Mrs. Clope by the end of the day.

  • Ms. Simaytis is January’s Staff Member of the Month. This is her first year teaching at Farmington and some of the classes she teaches are Advanced Art, Intro. to Ceramics, and 6th through 8th grade Art. She has one brother named Trevor and she grew up in Kewanee. Ms. Simaytis’ favorite part about teaching is getting to know the kids. Some of her hobbies are hunting, fishing, golf, and making art. Congratulations to Ms. Simaytis on January’s Staff Member of the Month!

  • Game club will meet Thursday this week.  

  • Seniors--a reminder that your senior portraits are due to the yearbook on January 22.  Please make sure to have them submitted to Mr. Paul before this time to avoid any late fee.  

  • Yearbook staff, please meet in Mr. Paul's room Wednesday during Enrichment.  

  • Interested in building set, working make-up, costumes, or spot light for “Little Shop of Horrors”? Please see Mr. Lambert today.

  • Juniors, the ACT is coming February 10th. If you would like to take the ACT, please come to the office and sign-up if you are interested. The cost is $62.50. Sign-ups will close TOMORROW Wednesday, January 10th.
