Bulletin – February 26, 2018                              

  • Boys baseball players and fans.  The online store thru Eastbay is now open.  Pick up a flyer in the office and check your email.  Practice begins after school today.

  • SEL Topics are back! The SEL Topic of the Week is SOCIAL NORMS.

  • Are you looking for a group to connect with? Look no further. FCA will be having it’s kick off meeting next Wednesday the 28th at 7:15.. Don’t know what FCA is or want to know more? Flyers are posted around the school with more information or you may ask one of the leaders: Jessamy Hintz, Makenna Hintz, Adian Basalay or Chesney Koenig. Donuts and drinks will be provided and you do not need to be an athlete to attend.

  • Attention ALL Juniors: If you signed up for Group B, you will be traveling to Western Illinois University and Carl Sandburg College this Wednesday, February 28th.  Students will be able to purchase lunch at WIU’s cafeteria.  Any student that would like to order a lunch (PBJ, chips, fruit, water) to take from our cafeteria needs to see me this morning.  Thank you!

  • Juniors will meet in the auditorium tomorrow during Enrichment to discuss the college field trip logistics.

  • ICC will be here next Wednesday, March 7th in computer lab 716 to test any Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors who plan to take either dual-credit or traditional college classes.  Students must go online to ICC and fill out an application to attend ICC in order to gain the 7 digit student ID needed to take the test.  NOTE: This test is applicable to other colleges.  At no point by filling out an application to ICC or by taking the ICC sponsored placement test is a student obligated to attend ICC.

  • Miss Ramseyer is collecting letters and school supplies for the students and teachers of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. If you would like to write a letter or donate any supplies, please see Miss Ramseyer.

  • Cheer tryout packets are available in the office.  All packets are due back this Thursday, March 1st. Tryouts are next Thursday, March 8th with practices Monday, March 5th and Tuesday, March 6th after school.

  • Any student wanting to tryout for the 2018-2019 high school dance team can attend a conditioning clinic this Thursday, March 1st, from 3:45-5:45 in the HS cafeteria.  Be sure to wear comfortable clothes. This is not mandatory for tryout but a means to work on skills you want to improve on. Any questions, see Miss DeMay or Miss Clark in the high school.

  • Softball practice starts after school today.

  • Track practice will officially begin after school today.

  • There will be a mandatory parent/student meeting today in Lab 716 at 3:15 pm for students who are signed up for dual credits next year.

  • All freshman football players will work the concession stand tomorrow night at 6PM.
