The FFA forestry team placed 2nd at the Section 12 contest, held at Spoon River College on Sept 11, 2018.
Individuals recognized: 5th place Sam Deppermann, 6th Ethan Marvel, 7th Hunter Davis, 9th Sarah Stevens,
and 10th Caleb Mahr.
The Ladies farmers golf team was at their all-conference meet yesterday in Cuba at Wee-Ma-Tuk golf course. The team finished in 4th place out of 5 teams. The farmers had one all conference selection and it was Allison Neff who shot a 114 for 18 holes. Missing out in making all conference by one stroke was Emily Kiesewetter who shot a 117. Great job to all the girls who played yesterday.
Harvest Team Leader Jacob Gibbs is completing his project for first semester as a PINK OUT night at the October 5th football game against Elmwood. He is, with your help, raising money for two families in our school district who are currently fighting breast cancer. In doing so, he has a shirt you can pre-order (check your email or pick up a copy in the office), which allows for free entrance to the football game, a chili dinner at the game for donations, and donation cans will also be set up at the concession stands and entry gate. Due date for the shirt is September 20th at 3pm.
Attention 3rd and 4th hour students on the driving schedule: There will be a meeting to discuss before and after school driving during Enrichment on Friday in Mr. Begner’s room.
Sophomores, Jostens will be here this Friday, September 14th before school at 7:30AM and lunch hours to take your class ring orders. Please have a $60.00 down payment with your order form on Friday. Any student who missed the class meeting, please pick up your ring packet in the office.
Freshmen election ballots need to be turned into Mrs. Burklund or Mrs. Suter by 3:30 today.
Auditions for the 2019 Winter guard Team will be Thursday September 13 after school meeting in the Research Center. Please see Mr. Lambert for any questions.
Game club will meet Thursday this week.
Key Club dues are due to Mr. Lambert by this Friday, September 14th. Cost is $15.
FCHS 2018 presents: “Dancing With The Stars” Homecoming! Events will run during enrichment the week of September 24th. The parade will be Friday, September 28th at 3pm. If you would like to enter a float, please email Mr. Lambert. The dance will be Saturday night at FCHS gym. Cost to attend is $7 single; $10 couple. If you plan to bring a student from another school, those forms are available in the office and need to be turned in by this Friday.
Coach Durbin will be holding a team meeting for anyone interested in joining the wrestling team, or being a manager on Friday, September 21st during Enrichment. The meeting will be held in the High School gym.
A representative from Savannah College of Art & Design is here today during enrichment in the conference room. Please come down at this time is you are interested in learning more about SCAD.
