The Farmington Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering (WYSE) team competed Thursday, February 9th in Regionals at Carl Sandburg College. The team placed first in their division and won the combined class competition!
* Austin Warren was the individual champion of all classes with a 2nd place score in both physics and mathematics.
* Rosie Roberts placed 1st in mathematics.
* Collin Krakowiecki placed 3rd in physics.
* Receiving medals for top three in their division were: Isaac Asplund in chemistry and biology, TJ Benedict in computer science, Ian Brust in English, Logan Evans in math and English, Jack Fletcher in physics, Ben Hathway in computer science, Jacob Smith in computer science, and Collin Krakowiecki received an additional medal in engineering graphics.
Also helping the team with their outstanding finish was Kaitlin Gilstrap, Jordan Peckham, Morgan Powell, and Katie Stenger. They will compete at Sectionals on March 14.
