MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS 11.1.2019

GOOD MORNING FARMERS!

Today is Friday, November 1st, and today is National Author’s Day. In honor of Author’s Day.

This afternoon, our Student Council will host our first spirit assembly recognizing fall sports and clubs. Boys baseball, girls softball, cross country, marching band, and student council members will sit on the gym floor. Everyone else please sit in your student section of the bleachers.

Thank you to Student Council for a wonderful Red Ribbon Week. It is our hope that this week has empowered you to engage in drug-free activities and strengthen your anti-drug beliefs.

Recess - Today, we will not be going outside for lunch recess. You will also not be allowed to go outside to eat. You will be in the cafeteria for the entire 30 minutes scheduled for lunch. There is not to be anybody wandering the hallways.

The IHSA Class 3A Round 1 football playoff game between Farmington Central HS and Seneca HS, scheduled for Friday, Nov. 1 at 7:00pm is changing venues. Taking into consideration field conditions, we are wanting to ensure the most optimal conditions for player safety. Therefore, we are going to play this contest at Dunlap HS in Dunlap, IL. The game will still be played at 7:00pm. We would like to thank everyone for their flexibility and understanding. Per IHSA rules, the cost to enter the stadium to watch the game is $5.00.

Good luck to our Speech Team as they take their talents to Dunlap Middle School today for the IESA State Speech contest. You will be dismissed early from the assembly this afternoon.

Good luck to our girls basketball team as they take on Havana tomorrow morning at 10:00 am here at FCJHS.
