  • Congratulations to Mr. Herink for being selected as September Staff Member of the Month. Mr. Herink graduated from Western Illinois University, served in the United States Air Force for 8 years and have been teaching for 29 years. He is married to Karol Herink for 30 years and has 4 children, 4 grandchildren, 4 dogs and 2 cats. He enjoys fishing, reading, hunting, bike riding and being outdoors. Congratulations to Mr. Herink!

  • On Wednesday evening the boys and girls Cross country teams participated in the Prime Beef Run in Monmouth. Both the boys and girls teams placed second!

Individually Annabelle Easley took 10th, Lily Sharum took 7th, Makenna Hintz took 6th and Addy Neal took 5th. On the boys side, Adian Basalay took 15th and Gabe Benson took 13th.  Great job all! 

  • Reminder to freshman class: Class Officer Petitions are due to class sponsors TODAY by 11AM.  Also, Friday, September 6th, there will be a freshman class meeting in the cafeteria during Activity Hour to vote for class officers and homecoming attendants. 

  • Game club will meet after school TODAY in Mr. Paul’s room this week. 

  • If you are bringing a date to Homecoming from another school, please be sure to pick up a Dance Request form in the office.

  • Any Senior interested in helping with the float, please come to the RC Friday during Activity Hour. 

  • Reminder to students to get your parking tag taken care of.  This year’s tags are light blue. The parking lot will be checked starting next week.  Parking tags are $5.00 and may be purchased in the office. Vehicle Information sheets must be completed in order to receive your tag.  

  • Josh McMillin is organizing a Farmington Powderpuff (girls football) game for his 2019 Harvest Team Project.  There is a sign up sheet for all classes as well as a participation form, waiver, and rules available in the office.   All proceeds will go towards the Susan G. Komen Memorial Affiliate. Please have the $15 for a shirt and all papers signed and turned in by Friday, September 13th. The games will be played on Saturday, October 5th at 10AM at the high school. 

  • 2019-2020 Athletic Event passes are available for purchase from the H.S. Office.  The cost for an all year athletic pass is $50.00 for adults and $25.00 for students.  Farmington H.S. students get into high school events for free, however junior high and elementary students still pay a gate fee.  Fall Season Passes and Winter Season Passes are also available for $30/Adults and $15/Students. Please keep in mind that passes are not valid at any IHSA sponsored tournament.  If you have any questions please email Susan Gibbs at sgibbs@dist265.com.  Thank you!

  • Junior class homecoming shirts will be available for $15 each, and profits go to support prom. Order forms can be found in your email or in Mrs. White's room. Orders and money will be due no later than 3pm on September 9th.

  • Juniors: Information about the Fall PSAT exam is in your email. The cost is $17 per student. Please see Mrs. Neave if you have questions or are interested in registering. Deadline is September 16th.

  • Key Club will meet Friday during Activity Hour in Mrs. Simaytis’ room. 

  • You can win AIR PODS! Every time you dress up and attend the Football games in the student section, you will be able to enter your name in the drawing! We will draw the winner and announce at the last home game of the regular season. You must be present to win. Dress up days are in your email. ALSO: WE HAVE ALSO ADDED: IF YOU ATTEND THE MARCHING BAND COMPETITION IN CANTON ON OCTOBER 5TH, YOU CAN SIGN UP THERE AS A BONUS ENTRY!

  • The following meetings are taking place today during 4th hour:

    • Sophomore Class meet in the theatre.

    • Art Club will meet in Mrs. Simaytis’ room.

    • The following students need to report to Mrs. Clope’s room: Hayleigh Allen, Josh Cecil, Wyatt Davis, Ruby Solomon, Tyler Stear, Sydnee Grier-Bain, and Abby Robb.
