Bulletin – November 1, 2019             

                      

                      7:00 Varsity Football will compete in the 1st Round of IHSA Playoffs vs. Seneca @ DUNLAP H.S. 

                              Just a reminder this is an IHSA hosted event, therefore, there will be no passes for students.

                              Cost of admission is $5.00.

                      Saturday, November 2nd:

                      10:00 Varsity Cross Country will compete in the IHSA Sectionals @ Maple Lane Country Club. 

              

  • EndZone that had been scheduled for tonight has been cancelled.

  • Congratulations to the November Senior of the Month Maddy Snyder. Maddy has been involved in Key Club and Volleyball for four years. She is currently the captain of the Volleyball team. She is also involved in our Unified PE class, a member of National Honor Society and a participant in Sign Club. Maddy volunteered at the YMCA as a tumbling instructor, worked at the Rotary booth during Spoon River Drive and worked at community events such as Wildlife Scary Park and chili suppers to name a few. Maddy is ranked in the top 20% of her class and plans to major in Communication of Science and Disorders. Congratulations, Maddy!    Next week, dance team clinics will be starting on Monday, November 4th. If you are interested in trying out for the dance team, please grab an informational dance packet from Mrs. Simaytis before Friday. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Simaytis.

  • All FRESHMEN and SOPHOMORE FOOTBALL PLAYERS THAT ARE NOT DRESSING need to clean out their lockers and take home their belongings this week. The shed will be open everyday for players to get their things. Jerseys and pants must be washed. Equipment turn in will be Monday, November 4th.

  • Join us as FCHS Theatre Department presents “Almost, Maine” tonight and Saturday, November 2nd at 7 PM in the Theatre. Cost of admission is $5. Refreshments will be served for donation during intermission. Hope to see you there!

  • Any student that is taking a dual credit course through Carl Sandburg College this upcoming Spring semester needs to see Mrs. Neave before Monday.

  • Winter Guard is upon us! Try-outs for the 2019-2020 team will be next Monday, November 4th--3:30-5:30PM. Please plan to attend. What song you ask? "Believer" by Imagine Dragons- Let's have another great year!

  • Don’t forget to drop off your extra candy to the Research Center TODAY and we will ship it to the troops overseas.  Make sure to write a note when you drop off your candy. Any questions, please see Emma Franklin. Thank you!

  • Jostens will be back to take your graduation orders TODAY during lunch hours. Please make sure you turn in your orders at this time. Any senior who missed the graduation meeting needs to pick up their packet in the office. Reminder to bring your down payment, payment in full, OR the gold sheet completed. 

 

  • A representative from Iowa Wesleyan University will be here today during Activity hour and through lunches.  Please stop by the cafeteria to speak with them to learn more about programs of study and the application process for Iowa Wesleyan.
