Bulletin – October 3, 2017

9:00  Boys Golf will compete in Regionals today at Coyote Creek.   

Girls Volleyball vs. Beardstown H.S. -THERE- Bus departs 3:45.                                           JV @ 6:00/Varsity 7:00                      

  • The Lady farmer's Golf Team finished the regular season with two wins and one loss at Scripps Golf Course in Rushville yesterday. The Farmers beat Rushville and Beardstown by the scores of 200 to 220 and 200 to 255 but lost to Macomb by the score of 176 to 200. The top 4 scores were Courtney Renfroe with a 48, Regan Kersh and Carly Behrens with a 50, and Allison Neff with a 52. The Girls next match is Wednesday at Gibson Woods Golf Course for Regionals. Good Luck Ladies!!

  • Congratulations to Haley Huls on her admission to Illinois State University. Haley wants to major in Biochemistry, and pre-medicine, with the hopes of becoming a pediatrician. Once again, congrats, Haley, and Go you Redbirds!

  • Next week, we will have a Canned Food Drive. Enrichments will collect non-perishable food products. Each can is a point. The enrichment with the most items will receive a prize. This event is sponsored by Key Club.

  • This Friday during Enrichment, if you would like to be a part of Chess Club, please meet in the Research Center. Come check it out.

  • Need extra credit? Miss Burdess is offering extra credit in any of her English classes for participating in Book Riot's October Bookstagram Challenge. Interested? See Miss Burdess or follow @BurdtheWurd on twitter for details!

  • During all lunch hours through Wednesday of this week, Book Club will be streaming the movie In the Time of the Butterflies based off of the book by Julia Alvarez. Feel free to grab your lunch and come watch even if you have yet to read the book.

  • Game club will meet after school today.

  • There will be an Art Club meeting tomorrow after school.  Please see Ms. Simaytis if you can’t make the meeting.

  • The Enrichment topic this week is TIME MANAGEMENT. Be listening in case Mrs. Mason asks you about this topic at the end of this week. You may win a prize. Congratulations to Alexis Haynes -- she was last week’s winner!

  • We will have a financial aid presentation and FAFSA completion workshop here  Thursday, October 5th at 6 PM in the computer lab for any interested Juniors and Seniors.

  • A representative from Greenville University is here this morning during enrichment. Please come to the office at this time if you’re interested in learning more about Greenville University.
