Bulletin – October 5, 2017              

  • The Lady Farmer's Golf team came up 6 strokes short of 3rd place on Wednesday at the Gibson Woods Regional. The Girls shot a 444 and Mercer County shot a 438 to beat out the Farmers. The Farmers do have 2 girls advancing as Individuals to Sectionals on Monday at Metamora Fields. The two girls are Regan Kersh who shot a 104 and Josie Huffman who shot a 110. Josie won a playoff spot by beating Grace Harms of Elmwood on the second playoff hole. Great job to all Lady Farmers golf team for a wonderful season. Thanks for all the hard work.

  • Mr. Mathewson’s classes will meet in the Research Center today.

  • Good morning disc golf enthusiasts. Farmington Disc Golf Committee here. We want to remind everyone that Township Park's Disc Golf Course is open for play and that there will be an open house on October 21st starting at 10 am. There will be free lunch while supplies last, demonstrations from experienced players, a long distance driving contest, and the first 50 people to show up will receive a free disc! Come out and support the quickest growing sport in America!

If you are looking for volunteer hours, please come see Mrs. Burklund in room 569 to sign up!  

  • The FFA Bonfire and Chapter Meeting is this Sunday at 6PM. Please sign up in Mr. Meisner's room and grab a flyer for more information.

  • Picture retakes are scheduled for next Tuesday, October 10th in the auditorium from 7:30-10:00 and 12:00-2:00.

  • Next week, we will have a Canned Food Drive. Enrichments will collect non-perishable food products. Each can is a point. The enrichment with the most items will receive a prize. This event is sponsored by Key Club.

  • Need extra credit? Miss Burdess is offering extra credit in any of her English classes for participating in Book Riot's October Bookstagram Challenge. Interested? See Miss Burdess or follow @BurdtheWurd on twitter for details!

  • We will have a financial aid presentation and FAFSA completion workshop here this evening at 6 PM in the computer lab for any interested Juniors and Seniors.

  • The following meetings will take place tomorrow during Enrichment:

    • If you would like to be a part of Chess Club, please meet in the office. Come check it out.

    • Those interested in Speech Team meet in Mr. Dalmasso’s room.

  • Students attending the 212/360 Conference with Mr. Meisner need to report to his room  at this time for a quick meeting.

  • A representative from Spoon River College is here this morning.  Please report to the cafeteria at this time if you are interested in Spoon River College.
