Bulletin – February 23, 2018                              

7:00 Varsity Boys Basketball will play Dee-Mack H.S. in the Regional Championships at Knoxville H.S.  Bus departs 4:30.

  • Happy National FFA Week! Today is Farmer Friday! Today’s Ag Fact is:

  • Boys baseball players and fans.  The online store thru Eastbay is now open.  Pick up a flyer in the office and check your email.  Practice begins Monday, Feb 26 at 3:00.

  • Book Club will be meeting today at 4:45pm at Carmike Theater in Grand Prairie to watch the movie Every Day. Afterwards, we will get dinner and discuss the book and movie. Anyone is welcome!

  • Are you looking for a group to connect with? Look no further. FCA will be having it’s kick off meeting next Wednesday the 28th at 7:15.. Don’t know what FCA is or want to know more? Flyers are posted around the school with more information or you may ask one of the leaders: Jessamy Hintz, Makenna Hintz, Adian Basalay or Chesney Koenig. Donuts and drinks will be provided and you do not need to be an athlete to attend.

  • Attention ALL Juniors: If you signed up for Group A, you will be traveling to Illinois Central College and Bradley University next Wednesday, February 28th.  This means you will have the opportunity to have Avanti’s for lunch.  The Avanti’s lunch will consist of a ½ gondola, chips, and a drink.  Please bring $2.00 into Mrs. Gibbs TODAY to purchase your Avanti’s lunch.  If you don’t plan to eat Avanti’s, you will need to pack a lunch or pre-order a lunch from the cafeteria with Mrs. Gibbs by the end of today.  Please stop by the office during Enrichment this morning and let Mrs. Gibbs know your lunch plans!  Thank you!

  • Juniors will meet in the auditorium on Tuesday, February 27th to discuss the college field trip logistics.

  • ICC will be here March 7th in computer lab 716 to test any Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors who plan to take either dual-credit or traditional college classes.  Students must go online to ICC and fill out an application to attend ICC in order to gain the 7 digit student ID needed to take the test.  NOTE: This test is applicable to other colleges.  At no point by filling out an application to ICC or by taking the ICC sponsored placement test is a student obligated to attend ICC.

  • Miss Ramseyer is collecting letters and school supplies for the students and teachers of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. If you would like to write a letter or donate any supplies, please see Miss Ramseyer.

  • Cheer tryout packets are available in the office.  All packets are due back March 1st and tryouts are March 8th with practices March 5th and 6th after school.

  • Attention Mathletes: The ICTM Regional Math Competition is TOMORROW Saturday, February 24th at ICC.  The bus leaves at 7:15 and will arrive back to the school at approximately 4pm.  Please be at the school by 7am.  Please bring a calculator and a few pencils with you AND wear your math team shirt.  Pick up your shirt in Ms. Petermeyer's room.  Cost is  $11.  A list of events is posted outside Ms. Petermeyer's room.

  • Softball practice starts next Monday, February 26th after school.

  • Track practice will officially begin next Monday, February 26th after school.

  • There will be a mandatory parent/student meeting on Monday, February 26th in Lab 716 at 7:15 am or 3:15 pm for students who are signed up for dual credits next year.

  • Seniors, Jostens will be here to deliver your graduation orders TODAY during lunch hours in the auditorium.  If you have not made your final payment, please bring it with you so you can pick up your order.

  • The following meetings will take place at this time:

    • Newspaper Club will meet in Ms. Ramseyer’s room.

    • Chess Club will meet in the office.
