Morning Announcements 9.4.2018

Bulletin – September 4, 2018             

                        9AM  Boys Golf will compete in the Conference Meet at Wee-Ma-Tuk Golf Course.  

                        6PM JV Football vs. Wethersfield H.S. @ Annawan FB Field.  Bus departs 4PM.

                        Volleyball vs. West Prairie H.S. @ HOME.  JV play 6:00 / Varsity 7:00

                                                 

  • Sarah Stevens was selected as September’s Senior of the Month. Sarah excels academically as she is in the top 10% of her class and is a member of the National Honor Society. Along with her studies, Sarah is involved in various extracurricular activities which include: Marching Band, Key Club, Science Olympiad, Harvest Team, Sewing Club, and FFA where she was voted vice president by her peers and an interviewing committee. In addition to her involvement in school, Sarah finds time to give back as she volunteers within the community. She assisted with the Farmers Feeding Farmers program, honored our military heroes by serving the Veterans Day breakfast, and volunteered at the Farmington PTO Carnival. She plans on attending ICC in the fall and then transfer to either Iowa State or Western where she will major in Horticulture and minor in Business with an emphasis on Agronomy. Congratulations, Sarah! Please see Mrs. Clope by the end of the day.

 

  • Any Juniors interested in a career in Nursing and who is interested in participating in the Certified Nursing Assistant Program (CNA) NEXT school year please see Mrs. Neave in the Guidance Office.

 

  • The next available test date for any Seniors wishing to retake the SAT exam is October 6th. If you are interested, please see Mrs. Neave in the Guidance Office for more details.

  • Game club will meet Friday this week.

 

  • There will be an informational Art Club meeting this Thursday after school at 3:15 in Mrs. Simaytis’ room.

 

  • Friday, September 7th, Freshmen will be meeting in the cafeteria during Enrichment to discuss election process and future events. Mrs. Burklund and Mrs. Suter will be there to lead the meeting.

 

  • Juniors - Class shirt order forms are in your email. Orders and money are due back to either Miss Burdess or Mrs. Bochniak no later than this Friday, September 7th.

 

  • Starting TODAY, please make sure that your 2018-2019 purple parking tags are visible in the front windshield of your automobile.  Any previous school year tag will not be accepted. Your failure to comply the first time will result in a warning. The second offense a lunch detention, third offense a detention after school, and the fourth offense your vehicle could be towed at the owner’s expense.  You can purchase a parking tag in the office for $5.00. Thank you for your cooperation.
