Farmington Central Junior High

Good Morning Farmers!  Today is Monday, September 11th!  It is the 18th day of school!

Happy birthday today to 8th grader Ava Ginther

Lunch for today: Hot dog or Farmer Sub

There will be girls basketball tryouts for 6th-8th grade Wednesday night September 13th from 4:30-6 in the junior high gym.

The first meeting of Girls Who Code Club will not be today, it will be rescheduled for next Monday the 18th.

American poet Ralph Waldo Emerson said “What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”  We all have the same strength and resources within to reach our goals.  Our ability to push through challenges with grit, determination, and hard work is called a Growth Mindset.  The resilience that comes with a Growth Mindset helps us accomplish our goals and dreams.  This week, think of something that you are currently trying to achieve, and give it your all!  Keep a positive mindset, keep pushing through, ask lots of questions, and get people to help you.  Try it, you will amaze yourself and maybe start to achieve a dream.

At this time, will you please rise for the pledge:

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic, for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Today is National Make Your Bed Day!  Why does a lawyer tuck his briefcase in bed when he makes it?  It’s to rest his case.

Have a great day Farmers!!!
