Farmington Central Junior High

Good Morning Farmers!  Today is Wednesday, September 20th!  It is the 25th day of school!

Happy Birthday to 6th grader Sheridan Rusch!

Lunch for today: Breadsticks, Pretzel with cheese, or cooks choice

September is National Suicide Prevention Month. Research shows that friendships have the power to influence our lives in many ways, including boosting our physical and mental health. Friendships increase opportunities for social contact and decrease social isolation — a known risk factor for depression and suicidal thoughts. Friends make us laugh, listen to our problems, and are there for us when we need them. Having even one close friend can make us feel loved and important, and that feeling can be lifesaving. If you see someone who looks like they could use a friend, why not reach out and see if you can be that friend? You might just save someone’s life.

The next FCA (Fellowships of Christian Athletes) meeting will be Friday at 7:30 a.m. in Mrs. Beoletto’s room. All students are welcome.

There was an old Chinese proverb that says “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day.  Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”  The meaning of this proverb is that it can be more beneficial in the long run to teach a person how to do something than to do that something for them.

At this time, will you please rise for the pledge:

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic, for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Farmer Four:

I am respectful

I am responsible

I am safe

Today is National Pepperoni Pizza Day!  I was going to tell you a joke about pizza, but they are all too cheesy, so instead, I’m going to tell you about my Hawaiian pizza that I burnt.  I should have cooked it at aloha temperature.

Have a great day Farmers!!!
