In 1986, former Defense Secretary Casper Weinberger established the month of April as the Month of the Military Child.  April 15th holds a special place to observe, support and thank military children for their strength and sacrifices.  We want to encourage our students and staff to wear purple on Monday April 15th as we support and thank our military.

Students, as the weather changes, out goes our winter wardrobe and in comes the spring wardrobe.  The teachers are noticing some clothes that are completely against our dress code.   Just a reminder that shirts cannot be spaghetti straps, tank tops, tube tops, or muscle shirts.  All backs and midriffs are to be covered.  The lengths of shorts must cover to mid-thigh for the school environment.  Yes, I know that is difficult to find, and yes, we are a little lenient because of that, but we should be wearing shorts that completely cover our bottoms.  There are some that are so short, rear end checks are exposed.  Again, that is against the dress code and we will be enforcing that.

Also students, a reminder that when the weather is as nice as it has been, we will be going outside for recess.  Once you are outside, you are outside.  You will not be coming back into the building.  Also, once you are in the cafeteria, you are to stay in the cafeteria until it is time to go outside.  Also, there will be no hanging out in the restrooms while everyone is outside. Please make sure that you have your jackets, sweatshirts, and phones with you.  We will no longer allow you to go to your locker to get the items.  If you need to see Mrs. White, you must have an appointment or set time with her.

At this time, will you please rise for the pledge:

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic, for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

National Pet Day!  I went to the pet shop and asked for 12 bees.  The clerk gave me 13.  When I told her she gave me too many, she said that was a free bee.

Have a great day Farmers!!
