Announcement

Twenty-five years ago today, our nation was attacked when planes struck the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Heroic passengers on Flight 93 fought back against terrorists to protect our nation's capital, forcing the plane to crash in a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.  September 11 is a date etched into our history. Most who lived through it remember exactly where they were and what they were doing as events unfolded. Today, take a moment to ask your teachers about their memories of September 11, 2001.  Please join us now in a moment of silence to honor and remember the lives lost.

Congratulations goes out to our Jr. High Softball team for their big victory yesterday against Illini Bluffs.  The softball team now plays in the Regional Championship game tomorrow morning.  They will play Washington Central at Germantown Hills.  The game begins at 10:00 AM.

Good luck to the baseball team as they are at home against Brimfield tomorrow morning for games beginning at 10:00 AM.

Students wanting to sign up for Student Council please pick up the packet in the office. Only 7th and 8th graders need to have a teacher recommendation filled out. Deadline is Monday by 3:05 pm.

Junior High Girls basketball tryouts will start on Monday, September 14th from 5-7pm in the JH Gym. This is open to all girls 6-8th grade.

Volley for a Cure T-Shirt orders and payment are due today.

September is National Chicken Month.  Sad news.  A farmer was found dead near the chicken coup.  Police suspect fowl play.

Have a great day Farmers!
