Wow, what a night of racing against 6 teams for the cross country team. The girls had 3 personal records and two very close in their race. The boys had 7 personal records and two very close in their race and they also won the meet by one point over Limestone.
Great Job Runners.
Students, please try to limit the amount of times you are leaving class throughout the day to use the restroom. Some of you are taking advantage of this. Keep in mind, in between classes, we have a 4 minute break built in for this reason. Again, I understand there are some emergencies and you just have to go, but there are several who are taking advantage of using the restroom during instructional time.
Dress Code - I need to remind you all again, that when you enter the school, hats and hoodies are to come down. We have several students who still wear hats in the building in the morning. This is the direct quote from the handbook and can be found on page 38. “Hats, raised hoods, coats, backpacks, bandanas, sweat bands, and sunglasses may not be worn in the building during the school day.”
Also, over the past few days I have seen several individuals that are wearing shirts exposing stomach or bellies. As written in our handbook on page 38, “all backs and midriffs are to be covered.” If you are asked to comply, it is because we are following the rules set forth by our school handbook/discipline committee and our school board.
Picture retake day is Friday, September 30th. Order forms are in the office
Reminder...if you signed up for speech practice for today OR if you haven't practiced this week, please plan on staying after school until 4:15 to meet with your coaches and get to work! If you cannot make it, please see or email Mrs. Beoletto.
Students please check the lost and found area by the office. There are many lunchboxes and sweatshirts that are being left outside.
At this time, will you please rise for the pledge:
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic, for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. I am respectful
I am responsible
I am safe
I am prepared
Today is National Elephant Day. Do you know why you never see elephants hiding in trees? Because they are really good at it.
Have a great day Farmers!
