FCES Families:
Our goal is to have students outside as much as safely possible. In an effort to be proactive, please expect that students will be outside on any given day and send them to school with hat, gloves, and coat. Exceptions are made only when a child has a doctor's note excusing him/her from being outdoors.
Recess is determined on a daily basis by the building administrators considering the temperature, wind chill/real feel, wind speed, and the conditions of the playground. The school nurse is also consulted for students with diagnosed medical conditions. If weather does not permit outdoor recess, students will have an indoor recess which is supervised in classrooms.
