The softball team dropped a pair of games at the Mercer County Round Robin this weekend. Seven innings wasn't enough in the first game against Mercer County. Unfortunately, the Farmers came up on the short end losing 7-6 in extra innings. Norah U. led the Farmers with three hits (2 doubles) and two RBI's. In the second game, the Farmers lost 4-1 to Princeton Logan. Kaylynn C. led the Farmer's offensively with three hits and the lone RBI. The JH Softball team will take on Canton today (8/25) at 4:15 in Farmington. There will be a "B" game that follows the "A" game.
The Jr. High baseball team will be back in action today (8/25) after two tough loses over the weekend. On Friday, the boys team lost to Canton 6-3. Lane S. led the Farmers with two hits, including a double and two RBI's in the loss. On Saturday, the baseball team lost to Annawan 6-4. Axel V. had two hits for the Farmers. The baseball team continues action today as they travel to Pekin Broadmoor for a game beginning at 4:30 PM. There will be a "B" game that follows the "A" game. Today's games will be played at Shade Park in Pekin.
Congratulations to the Junior High Cross Country team for a great meet on Saturday. Addison M. finished first overall in the girls division. Kay H. finished in the top 10! Jack H. and Gavin S. finished 2nd and 3rd overall in the boys division. Corbin J. also finished in the top 10! Way to go Farmers!
It was a tough loss for the Farmers last night against Dunlap 12-7. Lane S. had three RBI's and Drew E. had two hits to lead the Farmers offense. With the home opener being canceled last night due to the heat, the Farmington Central Jr. High baseball team will try to open at home again tonight, with a 4:15 game against Williamsfield.
After an evening off because of the heat, the Farmington Central Jr. High softball team will look to continue to their great start to the season when they travel to Illini Bluffs for games beginning at 4:15. There will be a "B" game to follow the "A" game.

The Cross Country team had a great meet to start the season on Saturday. The boys finished 3rd overall with Jack H. placing 4th overall and Gavin S. placing 7th. The girls placed 7th overall with Addison M. placing 4th overall. There were 8 new personal records set on Saturday! What a great start to the season.
The Farmington Central Jr. High Softball team had an exciting win on Saturday to move their record to 7-1! They defeated Midland 5-4. Norah U. had a great day in the circle for Farmington. She gave up three hits and struck out six. She added two hits at the plate including an RBI double. The defense looked great with Carly I. having a diving catch in left field. Aubrie K. added another triple to her great season! The Farmers will try to continue the hot streak with home game this afternoon against Brimfield. First pitch is at 4:00 with a "B" game set to follow the first game.

Another win for the Farmington Farmer Jr. High Softball team last night to remain undefeated on the season! They defeated Elmwood 6-4. Norah U. started the game for the Farmers and had 8 strikeouts and giving up only one hit in her four innings of work. Amelia D. came into the game for relief and picked up the victory for the Farmers. The offense was led by Aubrey K. who had two hits and 3 RBI's. They will now travel to Dunlap Middle School for a game this afternoon beginning at 4:00 PM. There will be a "B" game after the first game.

What a great victory for the Farmington Jr. High School Softball team last night! They defeated Tremont 4-2 to move their record to 5-0! Norah U. went the distance on the mound for Farmington surrendering only five hits and striking out seven. Defense was on fire with Averie K. having some big plays at second base, and Teagan S. throwing out a runner at home from left field in the 7th inning! Brooklyn K. had three doubles for the Farmers! This was a great team victory! The girls will travel to Elmwood this afternoon for a game beginning at 4:15! Go Farmers!
