The Junior High base ball team fell 13-7 to Illini Bluffs last night despite out-hitting the Tigers nine to six. Koda C. led Farmington with two hits including a double. Lane S. had three RBI's. Congratulations to the Cross Country team at their meet last night! Addison M. finished 1st place for the girls with Kay H. in 3rd, Natalie L. in 4th, and Skylee J. finishing 7th. The girls finished in 1st place as a team. Jack H. finished 1st for the boys with Gavin S. right behind him in second and Corbin J. finished 7th. The boys finished 2nd as a team. The softball team dropped a pair of games at the Mercer County Round Robin this weekend. Seven innings wasn't enough in the first game against Mercer County. Unfortunately, the Farmers came up on the short end losing 7-6 in extra innings. Norah U. led the Farmers with three hits (2 doubles) and two RBI's. In the second game, the Farmers lost 4-1 to Princeton Logan. Kaylynn C. led the Farmer's offensively with three hits and the lone RBI. The JH Softball team will take on Canton today (8/25) at 4:15 in Farmington. There will be a "B" game that follows the "A" game.

Lane S. led the Farmers with two hits, including a double and two RBI's in the loss. On Saturday, the baseball team lost to Annawan 6-4. Axel V. had two hits for the Farmers. The baseball team continues action today as they travel to Pekin Broadmoor for a game beginning at 4:30 PM. There will be a "B" game that follows the "A" game. Today's games will be played at Shade Park in Pekin.

With the home opener being canceled last night due to the heat, the Farmington Central Jr. High baseball team will try to open at home again tonight, with a 4:15 game against Williamsfield.

The Cross Country team had a great meet to start the season on Saturday. The boys finished 3rd overall with Jack H. placing 4th overall and Gavin S. placing 7th. The girls placed 7th overall with Addison M. placing 4th overall. There were 8 new personal records set on Saturday! What a great start to the season.
