  • Jason Kennelly was selected as Farmington Central High School’s March Senior of the Month. Jason has been involved in Harvest Team and for the last four years he has had the opportunity to help the Activities Director with setting up for sporting events and other various tasks as well as film the plays for the varsity football team. Jason also received the DAR Good Citizen Award in February. Outside of school, Jason enjoys going out to their family farm, attending his church youth group, running the sound board and lights for the youth worship team, and helping with the sound booth during church service. He’s also a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and even had the opportunity to throw out the first pitch at one of the games. Jason plans to attend Illinois Central College for two years and then pursue a degree in Mass Communications. Congratulations, Jason!

  • Maylee Huffman was selected as Farmington Central High School’s March Junior of the Month. Maylee has been involved in Band, Chorus, Dance Team, Winterguard, Drama Club, Yearbook and Prom Committee. Some of Maylee’s big accomplishments include getting to help lead and be the captain of the Dance Team, being a part of Theatre, and being a section leader in band. Outside of school Maylee enjoys hanging out and playing games with her family and working at her family’s business. Maylee plans to study in the performing arts after graduating high school. Congratulations, Maylee!

  • Kirk Melton was selected as Farmington Central High School’s March Sophomore of the Month. Kirk has been involved in Chorus, FFA, Key Club, Scholastic Bowl, and Drama Club. Some of Kirk’s big accomplishments include being Sophomore Class Treasurer, FFA Junior Officer, Drama Club Officer, previous 4-H President and current Vice President. Outside of school Kirk enjoys summer plays. Congratulations, Kirk!

  • Presley Evans was selected as Farmington Central High School’s March Freshman of the Month. Presley is involved in cheerleading. One of her big accomplishments is getting through her freshman year with all A’s and B’s. Outside of school Presley enjoys hanging out with friends. Presley plans to attend college after graduating high school. Congratulations, Presley! 

  • This week is Respect Week! Help us highlight different disabilities each day by wearing the corresponding color! During lunch hours on Friday, there will be a banner set up for students and staff to sign.

  • Anyone interested in trying out for the high school cheer team for the 2024-25, please join us for some open gym times!  We will meet on the 14th in Gym D from 6-7:30 pm.  This is not mandatory, but highly encouraged!  If you have any questions reach out to Coach Hanlin (shanlin@dist265.com)

  • FCHS is pleased to officially announce Spring Break Trip 2024 to Chicago. The trip is Friday, March 29th (the first day of Spring Break) and we will leave at 6:00AM from the HS. The trip stops will include: the Museum of Science and Industry, the Art Institute and Millennium Park, and Navy Pier. The cost is $20. We do use two charter buses to travel to Chicago. Reservations are "first come first serve" as seating is limited. Students cover their own lunch/dinner. Permission slips may be picked up in  the office. Please return all deposits and permission slips to Mrs. Gibbs.
