Isabelle Lynn and Amber Asbury are recipients of  2025 FCHS Principal Leadership Awards.

Each year, the IPA (Illinois Principals Association) recognizes two remarkable students from each school for their outstanding work and leadership. Students are recognized annually at the CIV Region's Student Recognition Breakfast. Each area principal has a set of criteria used to appoint their respective students, including leadership, scholarship, community involvement, and character. Being recognized by the IPA indicates that the student exemplifies these qualities and reflects what school means to the students and local community. 

IPA award winner Isabelle Lynn has been actively involved in the school community throughout her entire career at FCHS. Over the past four years, Isabelle has been involved with National Honor Society, FCA, Girls Basketball, Girls Volleyball, FFA, and Dance Team. Isabelle served as the Student Board Member for the 2024-2025 school year, has served as the Secretary for Student Council, participated as a leader in student diversity groups, and served as the FFA Sentinel. Isabelle was captain of the Volleyball team and earned the Attitude Hustle Pride award during her senior season. Isabelle was named September Senior Student of the Month by FCHS staff, and was a recipient of the DAR Good Citizen Award, and coaches youth volleyball for the YMCA. Outside of school, Isabelle helps at church with Wednesday night programs, and serves as a Vacation Bible School volunteer. Additionally, Isabelle Is a PEO Star Scholarship nominee, and is a Golden Apple Award Winner. Isabelle  plans to attend Illinois State University in the fall to major in Elementary Education. In her free time, Isabelle enjoys outdoor activities,  hanging out with family and friends and is an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and Bears.

IPA award winner Amber Asbury has also been actively involved throughout her career at FCHS. Throughout her high school years, Amber has been actively involved in a wide range of activities including: Concert Band, Marching Band, Jazz Band, Art Club, and Girls Softball. For the past two years, Amber has served as the Marching Band Drum major and has been a leader for the music department. This past year, Amber has served as President of Key Club and has won many awards including: Outstanding Underclassman, Distinguished Junior Class Officer, Distinguished President, and the 100 hour Volunteer Award. Her dedication extends to other school school-wide initiatives as well, including: sponsoring and spearheading the Midwest Food bank partnership, working with Erika’s Lighthouse mental health campaign, participating and serving in the Unified Sports Day, serving on the Prom Committee, and the leading the Veterans Day Assembly. Amber plans to attend Illinois State University in the fall to pursue a degree in elementary education where she hopes to inspire the next generation of learners. In her spare time, Amber enjoys serving the community, fishing, and training dogs (which she considers her favorite past times!
