  • Our May Senior of the Month is Henry Easley. Henry participates in both band and baseball at Farmington Central High School. He is also a member of National Honor Society, Game Club, and Science Olympiad. After high school, Henry plans on attending ICC to complete his general education classes before moving on to a local University to complete his studies in Psychology. While at Farmington Central High School, Henry states his biggest accomplishments were being named student of the month each year of high school, being in the top ten in his Senior class, for competing this year for best Farmington Baseball season ever, and of course, for surviving physics class. While not at school, you can find Henry playing sports, being outside, spending time with family, or listening to or playing music.  We are proud of all of your hard work and can’t wait to see all that you accomplish in your future.

  • A big congratulations to our Junior student of the month, Jonathan Gibbs. While at Farmington Central High School, Jonny has participated in football and track. A few of his favorite football highlights were scoring a touchdown as the kicker his sophomore year in Elmwood, having a 55-yard kickoff go through the goal posts against Knoxville, and being part of this past season’s history making team. He also shares some of his accomplishments as reaching his weight lifting maxes. Jonny has been accepted into the Work-Based Learning program for his senior year and looks forward to pursuing a career in the trades after high school. While at school, you can see Jonny helping out in the office or just asking his mom for food!  While not at school Jonny enjoys playing video games and hanging out with family and friends. Way to go, Jonny!

  • Congratulations to our Sophomore of the Month, Will Uptmor. He participates in soccer and track among many clubs at Farmington High School like Key Club, Drama Club, and Science Olympiad. Will is also part of the Farmington Central High School Band. When asked what he plans to do after high school, he stated, “I plan on using my amazing brain and pure athleticism to survive in the wilderness. I’ve never hunted before, but I honestly think I could beat a bear in hand to hand combat. In other words, I don’t know yet.” We love to see you are keeping your options open, Will. During high school Will has had many accomplishments including being able to play the lead role in the play and musical in his first year of theater in addition to his leadership roles in band, Key Club, and soccer. While not active with his sports or clubs, Will enjoys hanging out with his friends, listening to music, and playing board games or video games. We look forward to seeing you shine in high school, Will.

  • Kolben Haroldson was selected as our May Freshman of the month. Kolben participates in football, basketball, and track. In addition, Kolben is also active in Key Club. After high school, he plans to attend a four year university. Kolben states that one of his biggest accomplishments is maintaining straight A’s. While not at school, Kolben enjoys outdoor activities. Congratulations, Kolben!

  • May's staff member of the month is a standout educator whose passion for teaching and dedication to his students sets him apart. Despite being relatively new to the profession, he has already become a valuable resource for fellow teachers, always willing to lend a hand and share his insight. He inspires those around him with his unwavering belief in his students' potential and is known for his deep commitment to student success. He consistently goes above and beyond to ensure his students not only understand the material but thrive in it. Whether it's offering detailed feedback, meeting with students before and after class, or holding them to high academic standards, his contagious enthusiasm for teaching science makes Mr. Asplund more than deserving of Staff Member of the Month.
