  • Makenna Hintz was selected as September’s Senior of the Month. Makenna excels academically as she is in the top 5% of her class and was also accepted as a member of the National Honor Society. Along with her studies, Makenna is involved in various extracurricular activities which include: band, cross country, choir, track, FCA, Athletic Leadership Team, Drama Club, Prom Committee, ACES, Winter Guard, and Harvest Team. In addition to her extensive involvement in school, Makenna finds time to give back as she volunteers within the community. She entertained many people as she played music at retirement homes, collected food for the Midwest food bank, and worked with children at the WildLife Scary Park. She is currently undecided on which college she will attend, but one thing is for sure, she will do great things in life! Congratulations, Makenna!

  • Congratulations to Mr. Whitcomb--September Staff Member of the Month!  Mr. Whitcomb is a 2010 graduate of Greeneview High School and Monmouth College Alumni. After graduation, he began teaching here at Farmington and is going into his 7th year now. During this time, he has become involved in many of the extracurriculars at the school as he coaches football, girls basketball, and track. Mr. Whitcomb has recently bought a house in Farmington and enjoys reading, watching sports, restoring cars, woodworking, and spending time outside. He is currently working on his Master's degree in Administration at WIU, so that he could one day become a high school principal or athletic director. Don't worry though as this is just a back-up plan as he plans on teaching at Farmington for the next 39 years until the young age of 67. Overall, he has really enjoyed his time at Farmington and greatly appreciates the positive relationships he has with his peers and students.
