  • Reece Putrich was selected as May’s Senior of the Month. Reece is a strong academic student as she is in the top 25% of her class and is the President of our National Honor Society chapter. Along with her studies, Reece is involved in various extracurricular activities which include: Basketball, Softball, and Student Leadership Group. In addition to her  involvement in school, Reece finds time to give back as she volunteers within the community. She tutors several students within the high school, and she also volunteered at the Special Olympics where she coached and supported the participants.  Reece will attend Eureka College next year where she will continue her basketball career and major in Business Management. Congratulations, Reece!

  • Congratulations to Freshman of the month- Ashley Miller. Ashley is very active and enjoys weight lifting. She excels academically in class. Ashley enjoys being around her family and hanging out with friends. After high school, Ashley plans on joining the Navy. Congratulations, Ashley!

 

  • Congratulations to Sophomore of the month- Johnathan Long. Johnathan is involved in Scholastic Bowl, Drama Club, and Chorus. He enjoys playing video games and he likes to go camping during the summer. Congratulations, Johnathan!

 

  • Congratulations to Junior of the Month- Dillon Riojas. Dillon is involved in National Honor Society, Key Club, Game Club, Art Cub, and GSA. He enjoys reading and collecting books. He likes to spend his time playing video games, traveling, and trying new foods. After high school, Dillon plans on attending ISU. Congratulations, Dillon!

 

  • Ms. Foster was selected as May Staff Member of the Month! Ms. Foster has worked in the district for 9 years. She is the full-time Mom to Delaney and Dawson, and part-time Mom to the 380 students in the high school. She is also the dog mom to Harper, her Goldendoodle. In her free time, she enjoys supporting her kids at their events, shopping and organizing! Her favorite thing about working in the high school is the relationships she has built with the students. She enjoys making jokes and occasional pranks with them! But also has a soft spot for many of them and loves to give a good hug to those having a bad day. Congratulations, Ms. Foster!

 

  • Prom is this Saturday, May 7th from 7:00-10:00 PM at Weaver Ridge Country Club in Peoria. Doors open no earlier than 7PM.  Dinner is 7:00-8:00 and the dance is 8:00-10:00.   

 

Grand March will begin in the high school gym at 3PM. There is no cost to participate in Grand March, but spectator tickets are $5 each. Grand March tickets may be purchased at the door. Grand March participants must arrive at FCHS by 2:30 and line up in the hallway behind the auditorium. 

 

LifeTouch will be taking photos from 1:30-2:30 in the gym before Grand March.  They are offering free photo packages to those students interested in getting prom photos. Picture forms are available in the office.

  • The last Key Club meeting of the year will be Thursday morning in the art room at 7:30 a.m. If you are interested in joining next year, please join us for donuts and info!

  • The advanced class art show will be this Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. All who are interested are welcome to join. 

 

  • Farmington Central School District and OSF HealthCare Providers are offering sports physicals here on campus on May 9th from 4:00-7:00 PM.  Call the high school office or email bfoster@dist265.com to schedule an appointment by 4PM TODAY. Cost is $35.00, receipt available for HSA/FSA reimbursement.  

 

  • Anyone interested in going out for the girls or boys golf team. There will be an informational meeting TODAY during 4th hour. Please check in with your teacher first for attendance then come to the gym to find out about golf.
