Josh McMillin is doing Senior Shout Outs for his Harvest Team project. Today’s senior is Lindsey Marinich. Lindsey’s school activities include Marching Band, Scholastic Bowl, and Drama/Theater. Her hobbies outside of school consist of a summer theater group as well as kickboxing, painting, and sketching. Her favorite high school memory is when the FCHS Golden Wave Marching Band won first place at their first competition of her sophomore year with their Blues Brothers show. • Congratulations Mr. Lambert for being selected as December Staff Member of the Month. Mr. Lambert is in his tenth year of teaching at Farmington Schools and enjoys Starbucks, traveling, and theatre productions, especially Dear Evan Hansen. He currently lives in Farmington with his fish, Lyndel. He was also excited to be selected as the Illinois High School Theatre Festival Executive Director for 2023. Congratulations to Sam Fletcher who was selected as December’s Senior of the Month. Sam excels academically as he is ranked third in his class and is a member of the National Honor Society. Along with his studies, Sam is involved in various extracurricular activities including: football, basketball, track and field, and Harvest Team. In addition to his involvement in school, Sam finds time to give back as he volunteers within the community. He donated his time at ISU helping young children in the Special Olympics. He has also helped at junior high track meets and entertained children at Wildlife Scary Park. He plans on attending St. Ambrose University in the fall where he will major in physical therapy. Congratulations to Riley Reed who was selected as Farmington Central High School’s November Senior of the Month. Riley is the daughter of Brent and Amanda Reed. She excels academically as she is in the top 10% of her class and is a member of the National Honor Society. Along with her studies, Riley is involved in various extracurricular activities including: Golf, Competitive Cheerleading, Harvest Team, Musical Theatre, and Spanish Club. In addition to her involvement in school, Riley finds time to give back as she volunteers within the community. She has donated her time at various nursing homes and the Alzheimer’s home in Peoria to help brighten the days of the residents. She has also collected food for the Farmington Food Pantry and entertained children at Wildlife Scary Park. She is currently undecided on which college she will attend, but she will major in accounting or finance. Good luck in all your future endeavors, Riley!

Makenna Hintz is Farmington Central High School’s September Senior of the Month. Makenna is the daughter of Michael and Dawn Hintz. She has three siblings; Carter, Jessamy, and Kaiya. Makenna excels academically as she is in the top 6% of her class and is a member of the National Honor Society. Along with her studies, Makenna is involved in various extracurricular activities including: Band, Cross Country, Theatre, Thespian Society, Science Olympiad, Spanish Club, Choir, Track, FCA, Athletic Leadership Team, Drama Club, Prom Committee, ACES, Winter Guard, and Harvest Team. In addition to her extensive involvement in school, Makenna finds time to give back as she volunteers within the community. She has entertained many people playing music at retirement homes, collected food for the Midwest Food Bank, and worked with children at the Wildlife Scary Park.
