Our junior of the month is Samuel Hammond! He considers this his favorite achievement so far in high school. Samuel has participated in sports throughout his high school years, including football in the fall and track during his freshman year. He is active in multiple school organizations, including FFA, FCA, Key Club and serving as Junior Class Representative. Outside of the classroom he is involved with his church youth group, volunteers as an assistant JFL coach, and enjoys cooking, camping, fishing, and caring for his fish tanks, which fits in with his future goals. After graduation, Samuel intends to attend college and earn a degree in Marine Biology. In 10 years, he pictures himself living near the ocean and working in a successful career as a marine biologist. A fun fact about Samuel is that he is one of five kids and is already an uncle to four. His favorite quote is Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” His favorite song is “Under the Bridge” by Red Hot Chili Peppers, and his favorite movie is Jaws. The best advice he gives to others is: “Believe in yourself and let God do the rest.” Congratulations, Samuel!
