⚾**5th Grade- Women's History Month!** PART 2 ⚾
Mrs. Keplar's class learned about Women's History through acting out the play When Girls Ruled Baseball. The play, which takes place in the 1940's, focuses on the historic All American Girls Professional Baseball League. Here are pictures of the cast and crew:

**5th Grade- Women's History Month!**
Ms. Munger's class spent time reading a play about the All American Girls Professional Baseball League. They learned the history of the league which led to discussions about systemic gender stereotyping. At the end of the unit, the students completed a comprehensive assessment, which required them to be able analyze videos and their play to write an essay.
As an extension activity, students analyzed food, drink and household advertising through the decades to identify gender stereotyping and how it changed through the decades.

**Women's History/Music in Our Schools Month**
Since it is Women's History Month and Music in Our Schools Month and Monday was International Women's Day - Ms. Martin had a very special composer she wanted to share with her classes. Her name is Kaki King. Classes were able to watch and hear this composer/guitarist and "her immersive multi-media production." All of the classes appreciated her music. Big Thanks to Student Teacher Ms. Reyner for introducing and presenting this music to many of the classes. If you want to see and hear this fantastic artist, use the youtube links:
