FCHS theatre is a place for our students to feel at home. A place where they can be themselves and express themselves in a variety of ways, from stage acting to sound. Our focus must always be, first and foremost, the safety of our students. After much discussion regarding "Big Fish" it is with a heavy heart we must cancel our show for this year for safety concerns and scheduling issues. We applaud the efforts of our students and staff preparing for the past several months to make safe space for our company to work. We have built a world of daffodils, a world we can certainly be proud of--we created art. We thank the parents and adult supporters who were there making arrangements for transportation and meal planning; to the community who has rallied behind our show and theatre company--we wouldn't have a program without all of you. Even though "Big Fish" cannot happen, we look forward to our next two shows that will be announced in the coming weeks.

Farmington Central is excited to get started on the planning for the 20-21 school. The Illinois State Board of Education has released the guidelines that we will be adhering to as we reopen school. https://www.isbe.net/Documents/Part-3-Transition-Planning-Phase-4.pdf Our Transition Committee is going to work quickly to draft a plan to be considered. We are welcoming a parent or two that are able to devote some time during the day over the next few weeks to help with our planning. If you work in the medical field or a background that would be beneficial to the committee we would welcome that additional insight. If you are able to participate please email 2020restart@dist265.com prior to Monday, July 6th. The committee would like to have something prepared for the July 13th board meeting. Thank you.

We are releasing some access to the school's campus beginning Monday, June 1st. As we are able to maintain Phase 3 Recovery within our region our walking path and track are available to the public. We ask that when utilizing the campus visitors be in good health, practice social distancing, and do not assemble with more than 10 people.

48,706 meals were served to the communities of Douglas, Middle Grove, Trivoli, Yates City, Hanna City, and Farmington since March 16. In a time of so much unknown, the power of connecting over this simple routine meant so much to so many and Farmington Central Schools could not be more proud of everyone who made it happen! Thank you!
