Farmington District #265 would like to take a moment to honor our service Dog, Frankie! In celebration of National Service Dog Day, which is tomorrow (9/20), we want to recognize the incredible impact service dogs have on emotional well-being, providing comfort, calm, and support those that need it the most. A huge thank you to his handler Christie Koenig for bringing Frankie to school twice a week. His visits bring smiles to several faces at our schools! Frankie is four years old! His favorite toy is his owl squshmallow, although he loves putting as many of his squish toys in his mouth that he possibly can! His favorite treat is string cheese! When Frankie is not working, he loves playing fetch! Thank you Frankie! We appreciate you so much!

We are incredibly proud of our Jr. High softball team and the season they had this year. Last night did not go as we had hoped, but it was a great season and we have so much to be proud of. They fell to Kewanee Wethersfield in the Sectional Championship last night and finished their season with a 15-6- 1 record. This team earned the first IESA Regional in softball that Farmington has had since the school consolidated into Farmington Central. Great season Farmers!

Also, we want to congratulate Penny B. for winning the IESA Sportsmanship Pin in last nights game.

What a great morning for our Jr. High and High School Unified Clubs! They got to travel to Peoria Heights High School for Unified Wellness Day. There were several stations for our students to attend including health promotion, mental health, nutrition, coping strategies, and physical health. Special thanks to Special Olympics of Illinois and Peoria Heights for putting on this event.

Calling all FCES parents! 🎨 We are so excited to announce that your student's amazing artwork from Ms. Banta's art class is being uploaded to Artsonia, the world's largest online student art gallery. This is a wonderful way to see your child's progress throughout the year.

To get connected and start following their art portfolio, simply scan the QR code in the attached picture to register. You'll be able to see their masterpieces, leave comments, and even share them with family and friends.

Last night, we had some awesome results in our JH cross country meet in Rushville! Four of our athletes made the top 10 overall!

Out of 123 girls, Addison Martin finished 7th overall and Kay Heisel finished 10th. This also moves Kay Heisel to the top 10 all-time record for our sixth-grade cross country team’s history!

Out of 144 boys, Jack Heisel finished 3rd overall, and Gavin Southwood finished 6th.

This meet was extremely competitive, and our entire team worked together to do an amazing job. Congrats to all!

The NFHS Network at the football stadium is still down. Our Tech Department has been working diligently to resolve the issue. However, we continue to wait on the support needed from the NFHS Network to get back up and running. We apologize for any inconvenience. Feel free to visit the NFHS Network Facebook and Twitter accounts while you wait for resolution.
