October Staff Member of the Month is Mr. Bradley "Whit" Whitcomb. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Monmouth College and is currently working toward his Master's Degree in Mathematics from Illinois State University. He is currently in his 5th year of teaching math in Farmington. In addition to teaching, he has coached football and girls basketball for five years, and JH track for four years. He's really enjoyed my time here at Farmington, in the future would like to finish my Master's degree and begin offering dual-credit courses. If he hadn't become a teacher, he probably would have become a Country music singer. His favorite part about my time at Farmington is the relationships he's built with the students. "I'm very blessed to have found this place and call it home". Congratulations Mr. Whitcomb!

Thank you and congratulations to Jaden, Jaden, Allison and Sarah for teaching others about the CPR training they learned from OSF! They were each awarded a $25 gift card for their work. Great work.

Hayden Bradt was selected as Farmington Central High School’s October Senior of the Month. Hayden is the son of Rhonda and David Bradt. He has one sister, Kynzie. Hayden excels academically as he is first in his class and is the Treasurer of our National Honor Society chapter. Along with his studies, Hayden is involved in various extracurricular activities which include: football, basketball, track, Math Team, Student Senate representative, WYSE Team, Key Club, Class Officer, and Harvest Team. In addition to his extensive involvement in school, Hayden finds time to give back as he volunteers within the community. He worked with children at Camp Invention and the Special Olympics while assisting at the Scholastic Bowl and Biddy-Ball Tournaments. He will attend college in the fall and is planning to study Pre-med. Congratulations, Hayden!
