Kent Kowal visited the 8th grade History classes on Monday to give a Power point presentation about the Panama Canal. The 8th grade students had learned about the Panama Canal earlier in the year. Mr. Kowal shared pictures from his recent trip and explained in depth how the Panama Canal was built and how it works. The students enjoyed the presentation and learned a lot. A huge thank you to Mr. Kowal for spending his day with us.

The environmental science class received a Sun Foundation Making Waves Award at the 26th annual Clean Water Celebration. Individuals, schools, and groups are awarded this through their efforts to advance environmental education and sustainable practices.

Today we went and paid a visit to our friends from the Farmington life skills class and dropped off several of our egg splatter art canvas! And then we had to swing by the store and bring back popsicles and fudgesicles for everyone to enjoy!

Student Shout-out! Thank you to the community member who sent this in: "We hosted a (larger than we expected) wrestling tournament at the High School on Saturday and 3 of your students came to watch and support their classmates, as soon as they got there they jumped right in and asked if we needed help. We took them up on it as we actually did need extra help. I was very impressed with Dalton Powell, Paige Vallianatos, and Sam Fletcher. Dalton and Paige worked as table help, keeping time and score as we had 8 mats going and each mat needed 2 people at each table and Sam served as a runner for us." Way to go Dalton, Paige and Sam!
