Emily Buster is named May Senior of the Month. Emily is a member of the basketball, golf, softball and winter
guard teams. She is also active in the Harvest Leadership Team, Spanish Club, Student Senate and Key Club. Emily was awarded Rookie of the Year in 2017 for Mid-West Color Guard Circuit and was the first Student Representative on the Board of Education. She has assisted in a variety of capacities throughout school, including: raising funds for Schramm School, UNICEF and the Miss You Can Do It Pageant, helping at local food drives, and also has volunteered for the past two summers at Methodist Hospital. Emily plans to attend Illinois State University and major in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Congratulations Emily!

The Farmington Central CUSD#265 Board of Education is considering changing the grading scale for students in junior high and high school. The principals will be hosting an open forum from 5-6:30 pm on Wednesday May 2nd in the auditorium. Any staff, student, parent or community member who wishes to learn more or would like to share their thoughts are encouraged to come to the meeting. Participants and guests are encouraged to park in B lot and enter through the high school commons.
The grading scale was a discussion item in April, and the first reading will be in May with second reading occurring in June.
Reminder that After Prom is this weekend. If you still have a donation, please drop it off in the high school office or central office. We appreciate everyones support!
High School Band and Chorus Concert this afternoon at 2:00 in the Auditorium! Band and Chorus members and family- don't forget to stay for the annual Ice Cream Social after the concert!
Also this afternoon is the Art Auction! This begins at 1:00 in the HS Cafeteria. Purchase a number for $1 and bid on some fantastic artwork submitted by both students and staff members! Auction goes until 4:00- be sure to get your bids in before it ends! All funds raised go to support our Art and Music departments.

Congratulations to the State Horticulture CDE team for placing 24th yesterday. The team consisted of Sam Deppermann, Ashleigh Janssen, Caleb Mahr, Alyssa Schade, and Sarah Stevens.
