What a beautiful day outside! Mrs. Hursey took her classes outside the classroom today for a lesson on light and color. Students learned that white light is actually made up of all colors combined, and when it passes through a prism, it bends into a full spectrum of colors.
Each student had the opportunity to experiment with their own prism, watching the colors appear right before their eyes!

Last Friday night, in a very memorable presentation, we took a moment to honor Farmington alum and former football player, Joe Rose (class of 2012), prior to the varsity football game. On behalf of Farmington Central School District, we would like to thank the Rose family for this special contribution to the football team made in Joe’s memory. We are grateful for the player benches, but we are more grateful to have had the chance to celebrate this occasion with all of you. Special thanks to former head football coach, Casey Martin, for a very heartfelt speech. Also, thank you to Coach Dave Giagnoni for capturing these moments.

Mini Cheer Camp Update
There was a typo on the letter that we sent home last night. We sincerely apologize.
Please meet the cheerleaders at the NORTH end of the track (by ambulance) at 5:15 pm. They will have grade level signs so you know what group to take your child to.
Every group will perform two chants prior to the pregame activities. When each group is done, they will then move down the track for pick up near the concession stand.
Here is the schedule: 5:30-5:45-line up and get into place 5:45- Preschool 5:55- Kindergarten 6:05-1st Grade 6:15-2nd Grade 6:20-3rd Grade 6:25-4th & 5th Grade
These times are approximate. Older kids will be faster moving. We must be off the track by 6:30, so be prepared for us to start on time and stick to this schedule if not even run a bit ahead.
*ALL parents must pick their child at the SOUTH end of the track (by the concession stand). Children will NOT be released without a parent/guardian.

🎨 We’re loving the creativity coming out of Ms. Banta’s art class at FCES! Students created self-portraits inside crayons to show what makes each of them special. What a fun and meaningful way to celebrate individuality and school community! 🖍️💜
“We are a box of crayons, each one of us unique, but when we get together our school is complete!” 🧡💙💛

In recent years, there has been an increase in photographers roaming the sidelines for high school activities. While we want to be accommodating, the district will be requiring anyone who plans to be on the sidelines or inside of the competition area to have approval by the Activities Director 24 hours prior to the event. They will be provided a media pass for that event. Without it, they will not be permitted in these areas. Thank you for your cooperation.
