🍏 Apples & Engineering ⚙️
With fall officially here, Mrs. Collin's 3rd graders took time to learn about apples! The class investigated the many varieties of apples, how large apples can get (including the world's largest apple,) and much more. 📚 Reading Time in Mrs. Layer's Class! 📚
Mrs. Layer's 1st graders have been working to become super readers during their reading time. They learned that good readers read the pictures, read the words, and retell the story. Student's find a quiet, comfortable spot in the classroom to focus on reading. Everyone has their own book tub with books, poems, and a reading buddy (stuffed animal) to read to during quiet reading time. The class has set a goal of 15 minutes without stopping and have already made it all the way to 9 minutes!
Good luck on reaching your goal Mrs. Layer's class!!! #FarmerFun #Enjoy
