October Theatre Student of the Month is Logan Archdale. Nicknamed "Archie", Logan was the Assistant Stage Manager last year during "Clue: On Stage" and "Beauty and the Beast." This year he is Stage Manager for "Almost, Maine" and "Big Fish." He works diligently to build sets and ensure their safety for actors and stage crews. He assists in the design, organization and execution of each set piece. Congratulations Logan!

FCES is looking for JA classroom volunteers for grades K-5. Volunteers receive training and a kit of materials. Each kit contains easy to follow speaking points and materials for hands-on learning activities. The programs require 5 classroom visits with lessons of 30–45 minutes per visit. The classroom visits are scheduled by the volunteer and educator in a way that works best for both. Congratulations to Officer Fox for being voted as Staff Member of the Month for October! He is the School Resource Officer at the Farmington Central School District. He is from LaHarpe, IL and lives in Peoria.He is married and have 3 dogs and 3 cats. He served in the Army in a Military Police role from 2013-2019. He's had the opportunity to work in many different capacities as a Police Officer, Firefighter/EMT, Residential Counselor, Youth Pastor, and Camp Counselor. Dalton Powell was selected as October’s Senior of the Month. Dalton is a strong academic student as he is in the top 20% of his class. Along with his studies, Dalton is involved in various extracurricular activities which include: football, basketball, and Harvest Team, which he was voted as Member of the Year. In addition to his involvement in school, Dalton finds time to give back as he volunteers within the community. He helped put flags throughout Farmington to honor Sergeant Douglas Riney, worked the concession stands at Jacobs Park, and placed flags on the graves of Veterans for Memorial Day. He plans on attending Iowa State University next year where he will major in Engineering. Congratulations, Dalton!

Riley Reed and Carlee Taylor organized and assisted children in doing crafts at the TOUCH picnic at Wildlife Prairie Park. The TOUCH organization is through the Children’s Hospital of Illinois, and they assist children and their families, who have children or family members who were born with heart defects. This event is a day of fun for these families, that is all volunteer based.
