Var & JV Girls Basketball at DeeMac, originally scheduled for Sat, Jan. 12 has been rescheduled for Monday, Jan. 28 at Dee Mack HS. JV will begin at 5:30pm. Fresh Girls Basketball at Havana on Wednesday, Jan. 16 is cancelled. A rescheduled date is pending.

The FCHS Freshmen girls basketball game at Havana HS on Wed, Jan. 16 has been cancelled due to the rescheduled games at South Fulton. A rescheduled date is pending.

Farmington Central Elementary School wants to welcome parents of incoming Kindergarten students to REGISTER EARLY for the 2019-20 School Year! Please stop by the Elementary Office on Thursday, January 17th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm to register your child.

FCHS has added an additional Cheer Competition to its schedule. The HS Cheerleaders will compete at Fremd HS in Palatine, IL on Sat, Jan. 19 at approx. 11:15am.

WHITEOUT 2019 will be tomorrow at the basketball game! Collection buckets will be at each entrance. All profits will go to support St. Jude. Thank you for your support.

Auditions for THURSDAY Beauty and the Beast: Students will be brought to the theatre right after school where the company will meet each other. Students will participate in theatre games first and then work on a dance and scene. Please make sure your student has comfortable clothes and shoes. FCHS Theatre will have snacks and water available. Rehearsal will end at 4:30pm (just in time for conferences). Please pick up your student from the Theatre, entering center doors. The Varsity & JV girls basketball game at South Fulton scheduled for tonight has been cancelled and is rescheduled for Wed, Jan. 16 at 6pm.

Josie Carballido was selected as Farmington Central High School’s Senior of the Month for January. She is the daughter of John and Mandy Carballido. She has one sister, Zoe. Josie excels academically as she is currently 3rd in her class, a member of the National Honor Society, and an Illinois State Scholar. Along with her studies, Josie is involved in various extracurricular activities which include: Band, Science Olympiad, Math Team, Key Club and Harvest Team. In addition to her extensive involvement in school, Josie finds time to give back as she volunteers within the community. She helped young children with crafts at the Hanna City Heritage Days as well as tutored in the junior high, served food at the Hanna City Firehouse Breakfast with Santa, and worked the Red Cross blood drive. She will attend Loyola University Chicago in the fall where she will major in Psychology. Congratulations, Josie!

Happy Theatre Festival! Farmington High School attends the All State production of In the Heights with Co-Producer Ryan Lambert.

THEATRE FESTIVAL: We are moving to the morning All State show of In the Heights at 9:30. We will be leaving University of Illinois directly after the show.

The Peoria County High School Scholastic Bowl meet at Dunlap HS has been cancelled.

The following events have been cancelled for Saturday, Jan. 12: Fresh Boys basketball at IVC JH Boys Basketball vs Lewistown These are the only events that have been cancelled as of 2:30pm, Friday Jan. 11.
