Congratulations to our own Coach Toby Vallas! It was announced today that he has been elected into the Illinois High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame! This marks a significant achievement in his career as a football coach. A well deserved honor! Congratulations Coach!

The Farmington High School Dance Team is hosting a mini-dance camp for students in grades Pre-K-5 coming up in January. Please see the attached information for more details and to sign up!

Good luck to the Jr. High Boys Basketball team as they take on Macomb tonight (12/16) in games beginning at 5:30 PM.

Good luck to the 8th grade boys basketball team as they play Havana tonight in the Fulton County Tournament. The game will be played at Canton Ingersoll. Tipoff is at 7:30 PM.

Yesterday, our HS wrestlers braved the elements to compete in the PORTA wrestling tournament. Isaac Showalter finished in first place with 2 pins, a major decision and a 5-1 decision in the finals. Isaac did not surrender a single take down all day. Bradlee Ellis finished in second place and had 2 pins. Jackson Ralph placed sixth. Xander Simerly did not place, but he earned a pin. Congratulations to all! The next meet will be at home on Tuesday against Eureka and ROWVA.

Thank you to all who helped out today at the cheerleading competition! Especially our custodial staff who worked tirelessly to keep the sidewalks, parking lots and entryways as safe as possible!! Congratulations to the HS Cheerleaders on the second place finish and the JH Cheerleaders on their first place finish at our home invitational!

Please note the following schedule changes due to the expected weather tomorrow: Varsity Girls Basketball games at Monmouth United are postponed with anew date to be determined later. Freshmen Boys Basketball at Monmouth-Roseville has been moved to Monday night at 5:30 PM and will be played at Monmouth High School.

This week, our second graders read The Gift of Words by Peter Reynolds, a beautiful story about how positive words can brighten someone’s day. Inspired by the book, students created their own uplifting messages—kind wishes, encouraging phrases, and positive thoughts—each written on a special tag. Just like in the story, they hung their tags on our Christmas trees.

The tree is now filled with encouraging words that remind us to support one another, spread kindness, and let our voices lift others up. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate the season and the power of thoughtful words!

On Wednesday, December 17, at 3:30 PM, senior, Dax Ulm, will be signing his intent to continue his cross country career in college. This will take place in the high school research center.

FCES Hallway Transformed into Narnia! 🚪🦁

Our incredible 5th-grade students brought the magic of C.S. Lewis's The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe to life!

We are showcasing their spectacular dioramas—from the snowy lamp post to the ice palace—in the main hall for all FCES students to enjoy. Stop by and take a magical trip through Narnia! We are so proud of their creativity and hard work!

Congratulations to senior, Jack Gronewold, on making his college selection official last week! We wish him the very best on this next chapter in his academic and football career!

It was a big weekend for FCJHS! The Cheer team placed 2nd in their routine and qualified for the ICCA State Meet in January for both routine and game day cheer! The 7th grade boys basketball teams won both of their games on Saturday to advance to the championship in the Fulton County Tournament. The championship game will be played Wednesday night.

Today, you can see both the 7th and 8th grade boys basketball teams play Washington Middle at 4:30 PM. While here, come on over and see some talented musicians at the Winter Concert tonight at 6:00 in the high school auditorium.
