Group work and collaboration are essential parts of learning in junior high because they help students develop critical communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills that they'll use both inside and outside the classroom. Working with others encourages students to listen actively, share ideas, and learn from different perspectives, building a stronger understanding of the subject matter and of each other.

Mrs. Thrush recently talked to her students about what great group work looks like and compiled a list of expectations they will revisit throughout the year. These early experiences set the foundation for a positive, productive learning environment where everyone has a voice and feels supported.

The Jr. High baseball team will be back in action today (8/25) as they travel to Pekin Broadmoor for a game beginning at 4:30 PM. There will be a "B" game that follows the "A" game. Today's games will be played at Shade Park in Pekin.

Please Note: Today's Boys Golf match at Oak Run has been cancelled. The team will practice at 4:00 PM Oak Run instead.
