What a great morning for our Jr. High and High School Unified Clubs! They got to travel to Peoria Heights High School for Unified Wellness Day. There were several stations for our students to attend including health promotion, mental health, nutrition, coping strategies, and physical health. Special thanks to Special Olympics of Illinois and Peoria Heights for putting on this event.

Last night, we had some awesome results in our JH cross country meet in Rushville! Four of our athletes made the top 10 overall!
Out of 123 girls, Addison Martin finished 7th overall and Kay Heisel finished 10th. This also moves Kay Heisel to the top 10 all-time record for our sixth-grade cross country team’s history!
Out of 144 boys, Jack Heisel finished 3rd overall, and Gavin Southwood finished 6th.
This meet was extremely competitive, and our entire team worked together to do an amazing job. Congrats to all!

What a beautiful day outside! Mrs. Hursey took her classes outside the classroom today for a lesson on light and color. Students learned that white light is actually made up of all colors combined, and when it passes through a prism, it bends into a full spectrum of colors.
Each student had the opportunity to experiment with their own prism, watching the colors appear right before their eyes!
We loved seeing all of our FCES students and staff "Be Their Superhero" for Childhood Cancer Awareness Spirit Week! 💪🦸♂️🦸♀️ A huge thank you to everyone who dressed up to support this important cause. You are all amazing! ❤️

Congratulations to the Golden Wave Marching Band on placing 2nd in Class A at the Washington Panther Invitational over the weekend. They also won Best Percussion in Class A! Well done!
